Know the home, know the fault
The settlement itself is located at the head of a tidal creek, which was dammed in 1977 as a flood prevention measure. When a wine cooler is installed in a rural kitchen or utility space, it needs adequate ventilation to function correctly. Without enough airflow around the cabinet, the compressor has to work harder to remove heat, which can eventually lead to cooling issues. A wine chiller that will not hold its set temperature is a fault we investigate. In dual-zone models, one compartment might fail while the other continues to chill perfectly. This points to a faulty temperature sensor or a stuck diverter valve. Condensation and misting on the glass door usually indicate a failing magnetic door seal, allowing warm room air to meet the chilled interior. Fan faults also disrupt the internal air circulation, causing uneven temperatures that can spoil stored bottles. Meanwhile, control board issues might leave the appliance completely unresponsive or displaying error codes. We visit homes across the village and out towards nearby places like Kingsand to repair these appliances. During a visit, we look at coolers not holding the set temperature, dual-zone models with one zone failing, condensation and misting on the door, alongside fan and control faults. We carry out the repair work directly in your home. We also repair washing machines, electric ovens, and dishwashers.

Call 01752 922765Condensation usually forms when warm room air enters the chilled cabinet. This happens if the door is left open or if the magnetic door seal has split or lost its shape. A faulty seal prevents the door from closing flush against the frame, allowing moisture to enter and settle on the glass and interior walls.
When one zone fails but the other works, the issue is isolated to the components managing that specific compartment. This could be a broken temperature sensor failing to signal the control board, a faulty fan not circulating the cold air, or a jammed diverter valve that is restricting the flow of refrigerant to that zone.
A loud vibrating noise usually comes from the compressor or the internal circulation fans. If the appliance is not sitting level on the floor, normal compressor vibrations will be amplified. Alternatively, a fan motor might have worn bearings, or ice could be building up around the fan blades, causing them to catch as they spin.
